Sharp edges for Detailers Barbershop

Established in 2023 in Buffalo’s Allentown neighborhood, Detailers Barbershop allowed me the rewarding experience of creating its brand and signage, working closely with owner Justin Becton to develop a classic script logo inspired by an antique sign painting book, complemented by supplementary trademarks for versatile branding applications. The process of building the brand, from the logo to business and appointment cards, captured the essence of an old-school barbershop, reflecting both Justin’s vision and my passion for design.

Hydraulic Hearth Beer Garden

In the summer of 2015, I had the exciting opportunity to create original exterior signage for Hydraulic Hearth, including a variety of elements from beer garden rules to wayfinding signs, using script lettering and illustrative icons. Revisiting and updating these signs years later after Hydraulic Hearth ceased brewing felt like coming full circle, allowing me to reflect on my growth as a signwriter and apply my evolved skills to enhance the original work.

My formative years with Archigrafika

During my time at Archigrafika, I had the privilege of leading the revitalization of the “Unwavering Spirit: Hope and Healing at Ground Zero” exhibit at St. Paul’s Chapel, where I oversaw the creation of new spaces and signage to honor the relief efforts of 9/11 volunteers. This project, involving fabric banners, plaques, and infographic panels, was a significant achievement and a profound experience, connecting my design work with a meaningful historical narrative.
