My first mural for the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, "Practice"
During the height of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, I was invited to create a mural for the Buffalo AKG Art Museum’s Public Art Initiative, a project that allowed me to step outside my home and fulfill a long-held dream. Inspired by the wisdom of lettering artist Kafeel, whom I met in 2018, the mural features the phrase “Be Happy,” encapsulating a message of positivity and the daily practice of choosing how we respond to life’s challenges. The piece, titled “Practice,” reflects the ongoing effort artists—and everyone—put into shaping both their craft and the world around them.

A message to the world, Love Black
Edreys Wajed’s Love Black, created in collaboration with mural artist James “YAMES” Moffitt, powerfully addresses the racial justice conversation by challenging the disparity between the perceived innocence of Black children and the racial stigmatization they often face as adults, reminding us that love and respect must transcend age and race.

A golden mural for Lowe's 100 Year Anniversary
In the summer of 2021, I created a freestanding mural for Lowe’s 100-year anniversary project, incorporating their logo into a design inspired by Webster, N.Y.’s iconic cobblestone buildings, with paint blends around the logo adding depth and a keystone-like appearance, showcasing techniques learned from the signpainting community.
